After completing the series of Pakistan Srilanka started off there another series against Newzeland.2 tests and 2 T20 series. After that tri-series will take place between Srilanka, Newzeland and Indeed. On day 1 Srilanka started off well with Jayawardene century on day 1 ended up at 293/3. Dilshan came back strongly and made the fastest half-century and got out by missing 8 runs shot of the century. After that Samaraweera played good innings of 83 not out with Jayawardene.

On day 2 Samaraweera got his century and Srilanka all out for 452.
